Berta obtained her BSc in Biomedical Engineering from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and later pursued an MSc in Neuroengineering and Rehabilitation at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Her Master Thesis focused on the study of muscle activation and fatigue patterns induced by functional electrical stimulation using an animal model. After completing her master’s studies, she joined the Sant Joan de Déu Research Foundation, where she worked on clinical research investigating the impact of epilepsy on child development. Berta is currently pursuing her PhD in the Information and Communication Technologies program at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). Her research focuses on the impact of electroporation on neural transmission.
