Cristina is currently a postdoctoral fellow working at the ERC project “Electronic AXONs: wireless microstimulators based on electronic rectification of epidermically applied currents” in the Biomedical Electronics Research Group (BERG) of the UPF. Prior to joining the UPF she received her PhD in Electronic Engineering from the University College London (UCL) in 2017, holding a EPSRC scholarship. Her research was also supported by L-3 TRL Technology. She received her MSc degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 2012 achieving the 2012 Best Student Award in La Salle URL. She has participated in many funded R&D projects and contributed to several conference and scientific journals. Her main research interests focuses on electrical neuromuscular stimulation for neuroprosthetics.
