Tomás García-Sánchez obtained his degree in Telecommunication Engineering in 2010 from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and his M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering in 2010 from a consortium between the Universitat Politècnica de València and the Universitat de València (UPV-UV). In April 2015, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain. Afterwards, he did a 3-year postdoctoral stay at Gustave Roussy Institute (Laboratory for vectorology in anticancer therapy, CNRS UMR 8203) Paris, France. From March 2019, he is a Beatriu de Pinos fellow at the Department of Information and Communication Technologies (DTIC) of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF).

His research interests are focused on the study bioelectric interfaces and phenomena and with main applications to electroporation and bioimpedance spectroscopy measurements. His current research project deals with the development of novel strategies for the use of Irreversible Electroporation in the ablation of cardiac arrhythmias.
